    Optic fiber sample package for Building, Model Lighting & Scenery 6 optic fibers, 3 strands ea .030 & .060 diameter.
    Fiber Optic Sample Pack for Structure or scenic lighting. Also great for locomotives, passenger cars, caboose markers, switch stands, signals and other applications. 1 Package,  6 strands, 3 of each diameter (each over 18 inches long, 9 total feet) .030 & .060 diameter first grade optic fiber. (.762 mm and 1.524 mm diameter.).  ACC or silicone to an LED or use other light source (
    WARNING: Fiber will melt at incandescent bulb temperature
    ); run through walls or floor and light signs, rooms, signals, car headlights, or anything else you might imagine. This type of fiber was used to provide exterior lighting (window effect) for the Enterprise star ship in the Star Trek TV and Movies. Can be combined for larger light sources or effects. One .030 diameter fiber is approximately 1/32 inch in diameter and in HO scale about 2 3/4 scale inches in diameter. For example, about the size of a light bulb, a table lamp bulb can be easily fashioned by heating the end of the fiber to form a bulb. Many uses in all scales. Figure in photo is S Scale (just over 1" tall). Box car is Sn3 (3/16 scale).
