Such a great gift for someone that likes ice cream....look at the shape and you will see why they call it a gondola banana split dish..
..you could put two scoops, side by side and some sort of cookies on the side...with sprinkles and whipped cream and a cherry on top...
I used them for corn on the cob cradles as well, in the summer.. also, pretty with fruit salad arranged in it, or skewered kebobs...Multi-functional, I would say ...
If someone knows what type of glass this is, I would really be interested to know...
A set like these were always in my Aunts kitchen cabinet and, whenever we visited, I remember wondering what they were...Then, I saw this set in an antique shop one day...years and years ago...So, I asked, and of course, I bought them. Used them for years when my kids were younger..recently found them in a box, forgot about them, and I have been here 36 years !! So, they are at least that old..that I can assure you !!
