Vintage Buescher Aristocrat 140 Alto Saxophone in Gold Lacquer, Serial #353262

Here we have a 1955 vintage Buescher 140 Aristocrat alto sax with the serial number 353626. This alto is in fantastic condition with a fresh overhaul by our own shop staff member George Bunk. The horn features key-work from low Bb up to palm F with a front F mechanism. As for the physical condition of the horn, all of the original gold plated springs in great condition. The thumb rest has been moved at one point, a post on the octave mechanism and one foot on the Eb key guard have been re-soldered as well, aside from these 3 minor repairs no other re-solders are apparent. This saxophone was re-lacquered at some point in the past. The original neck as well as case are included with this saxophone.
The professional overhaul by George included a complete disassemble and cleaning of the instrument followed by precise key fitting and regulation. It now features all new pads, corks and key materials. The overhaul was done with the utilization of the original Buescher snap resonators. This particular 140 plays with a nice warmth and fullness to it's tone on the bottom register, and a distinct sweet quality in the upper register. Players looking to get into a gig ready horn would be interested in this horn, the tuning of these later Buescher models is fantastic while retaining the beautiful tone of their earlier models.
This sax ships in perfect playing condition with the original Buescher hard case.
