    Description

    Up for auction is a vintage sour cream glass.
    It pictures pink ivy and the raised markings on the bottom say

    This glass is 6 inches tall, 3 inches in diameter at the top, holds 16 fluid ounces and weighs 10-/8 ounces. It is in good, vintage condition – used but not abused with some scratches.
    I see a defect (like a smudge) near the bottom, and an indent on the rim (intentional?).
    The decoration looks great!
    This glass has been out of action for over 40 years, sitting on a shelf in the cellar, and has never been in a dishwasher.
    According to my research, Breakstone and Penn Maid began selling sour cream in glasses like these after the Second World War.
    They were popular from the 50’s through the 70’s and are very collectible now.
